Volunteer Education

Requirements

All Hospice and Bereavement volunteers must complete 8 hours of education each year to be compliant with state requirements.  Topics must relate to end-of-life, including but not limited to, hospice philosophy, spirituality, family dynamics, and bereavement.

Patient Care Support Meetings & Bereavement Volunteer Support Meetings are recorded by staff. No need to complete this form for meetings.

Please complete and submit one HVHC Volunteer Education Form for each education form completed.

All hours are due by December 31. 

 

Education Hours Include

  • Book = 4 hours
  • Articles (Five articles = 1 hour) Please include the names of all articles on form
  • Workshops, webinars, podcast, training
