HVHC offers Patient Care and Bereavement Volunteer training sessions twice each year, typically in the Spring and Fall.Dates and times for this training will be scheduled around prospective volunteers.

Hospice Patient Care Volunteer Training
Hospice Patient Care Volunteers provide direct non-medical service to individuals living at the end of life and their caregivers. This training is provided to prepare Patient Care Volunteers for service.
Bereavement Training for Professionals
For Social Workers, Therapists, Clergy… those serving individuals and want to know more about the bereavement process and how to help others work through their grief. Learn about the grieving process, a mind-body interaction, and promote emotional health. Understand the wide variety of responses to loss.
Bereavement Support Volunteer Training
Help others work through their grief by facilitating bereavement support groups. Learn about the grieving process, a mind-body interaction, and promote emotional health. Understand the wide variety of responses to loss.
Seven-week training for those who want to understand more about the grieving process and who want to support those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
Bereavement Volunteer Training class will meet once per week for seven weeks. Registration and interview are required.

Special Organizational Bereavement Workshop
Does your organization serve individuals or family members who are dealing with life-limiting illness? Would you like to know more about how to support them within your professional role?
It is free of charge, and will be tailored to the organization or group that is interested.
