Newsroom

Elaine and Mike Belinsky

Whether answering a last-minute call for help, or doing double-duty for a family that needs back-to-back respite, Elaine and Mike Belinsky are the “Dynamic Duo.”

Two of the gentlest and most compassionate people you can imagine - they often serve as a team in order to maximize the help, serving for more than a year with a family that needed help almost every day. While we never expect that of our volunteers, they took turns going to see this patient so that between them, someone was there for a couple of hours five days a week.

They are willing to take on patients who have challenging conditions, including dementia that can be difficult to manage.

While Mike was the one who wanted to become a hospice volunteer and Elaine came along to support her husband, we are certainly glad she did, because with the two of them, those we serve are getting double the care.

Thank you, Mike and Elaine!
