JODY WOLFORD-TUCKER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Jody Wolford-Tucker has served as Executive Director of Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County since 2006. Jody holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Purdue University, a Masters in Humanities and Ph.D. in Education from Old Dominion University. Jody has served as a teacher and administrator in educational settings and community-based service organizations for the past 30 years.
She says that her work with hospice provides a unique opportunity to combine her professional interests in service to others who are dealing with some of life's most powerful experiences, and is grateful for this opportunity.
LORI JOHNSON, PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Lori joined Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County in the spring of 2017 as our Program Director.
Lori has been a Patient Care Volunteer with us since fall 2015. She comes with 20+ years of case management experience as a Parole Officer and in the field of women's addiction/transition supportive care.
Lori has demonstrated excellent qualities for building community coalition and program development. She comes highly recommended by respected colleagues and was the top choice of all four search committee members
JANE CORNMAN, BEREAVEMENT SERVICES COORDINATOR
Jane joined Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County in November, 2019 as our Bereavement Services Coordinator.
An Episcopal priest resident in the Diocese of Maine, Jane spent 14 years in parish ministry before joining us. She has many years of experience providing pastoral support to those who were dying and grieving, and shares that it was one of the aspects of parish ministry she found most rewarding.
Jane believes that the deepening of open-hearted relationships and the gifts of community are vital for healthy dying and grieving. She is inspired by the profound engagement of HVHC’s volunteers and staff and is honored to participate in this vital work.
EMILIE DISNEY, OFFICE MANAGER
Emilie has been enthusiastically welcomed into her new position as Office Manager at HVHC. She has shared how impressed she is by the dedication of the staff and volunteers that she has witnessed in her brief time here so far.
Emilie's background is in office management and bookkeeping, though she has spent the last seven years raising her children and running a landscaping business. This has prepared her well for the multi-tasking required in this position! She has hit the ground running (and shoveling!) and is juggling preparations for many HVHC programs that are currently active.
