Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County

Hospice is Dignity, Respect and Love

Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County was formed in 1980 as a community response to the need for specialized and compassionate end-of-life care. As an independent agency, we often partner with medical hospice programs in a collaborative team serving the residents of Hancock County.

Hospice is both a collection of services and a philosophy of care which address the needs of individuals who are living at the end of life and their families. Hospice is designed to support quality of life for as long as a person lives.

Hospice Volunteers of Hancock County offers non-medical services through our well-trained volunteers. We do not charge for our services and do not receive any state or federal funding, but exist through our partnership with the community. We are pleased and privileged to be a part of individuals' and families' end-of-life journeys.
